イチローズモルト カードシリーズ JOKER “COLOR”
— 羽生蒸溜所の記憶を継ぐ、シリーズ最終章 —

1946年、肥土 伊知郎さんの祖父により創業された羽生蒸溜所。1980年代からウイスキー造りを開始し、クラフトウイスキーの黎明期を支えた名門だが、2000年に惜しまれつつ製造を停止。その後、蒸溜所は売却されたが、残された原酒樽は倉庫で静かに眠り続けた。

イチローズモルト「カードシリーズ」は、その貴重な羽生原酒を未来へと継ぐために始まったコレクション。1枚ずつトランプのカードに見立てられたボトルたちは、世界中のファンを魅了し、ついに54枚目の「ジョーカー」で完結を迎える。

本ボトル「JOKER COLOR」は、その締めくくりにふさわしい1本。
1985、1986、1988、1990、1991、2000年の6ヴィンテージの羽生原酒を、ホグスヘッド、シェリーバット、パンチョン、コニャック、マデイラ、バーボンバレル、チビダルといった多彩な樽で熟成。全14樽を秩父蒸溜所にて丁寧にヴァッティングし、2014年に3690本限定でリリースされた。

香りは、トルコ菓子、ユーカリ、白檀、バラの花びら、ポプリ、トフィーアップル、レーズン、プラム、磨かれたレザー、バニラ、ジンジャーブレッドと、複雑かつ華やか。
味わいは、カルダモンや五香粉、柚子ピール、ブラックベリー、デーツなどのエキゾチックな要素が甘酸っぱく広がり、カフィアライム、ミント、アニス、甘いタバコやフェルネットのようなビター感が奥行きを与える。
フィニッシュは長く、紅茶とハチミツを思わせるスパイシーでハーバルな余韻が続く。

さまざまな樽と時代を経た原酒が、一つのストーリーとして結晶した、まさに“万華鏡のような羽生”。イチロー氏の“モルトドリーム”の象徴ともいえる集大成。

Ichiro’s Malt Card Series JOKER “COLOR”
— The Final Chapter of Hanyu Distillery's Legacy —

Hanyu Distillery was founded in 1946 by the grandfather of Ichiro Akuto.
In the 1980s, it began making whisky and became a pioneer of Japanese craft whisky.
The distillery sadly stopped production in 2000 and was later sold,
but its precious casks of whisky remained quietly stored.

The "Card Series" of Ichiro’s Malt was created to carry on the legacy of these Hanyu casks.
Each bottle in the series is named after a playing card, and the final release is the 54th bottle — the "JOKER".

JOKER COLOR is a fitting end to the series.
It is a blend of Hanyu whiskies from 1985, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1991, and 2000,
aged in various casks such as hogsheads, sherry butts, puncheons, cognac, madeira, bourbon barrels, and chibidaru.
All 14 casks were carefully vatted at Chichibu Distillery and released in 2014, limited to 3,690 bottles.

Aroma: Turkish sweets, eucalyptus, sandalwood, rose petals, potpourri, toffee apple, raisins, plum, polished leather, vanilla, and gingerbread — complex and floral.
Taste: Exotic notes of cardamom, five-spice, yuzu peel, blackberry, and dates,
with layers of kaffir lime, mint, anise, sweet tobacco, and a bitter hint like Fernet.
Finish: Long and lingering, with herbal and spicy notes like tea and honey.

A story woven from many casks and vintages — truly a "kaleidoscope of Hanyu".
A masterpiece that symbolizes Ichiro Akuto’s “Malt Dream”.
