ラグ　スモールバッチ　パロ・コルタドシェリーフィニッシュは、ハイランド産ピートを焚き込んだヘビーピーテッドの大麦麦芽（フェノール値50ppm）を使用。
ファーストフィルバーボンバレルで熟成した後、パロ・コルタドシェリー樽で6ヵ月間フィニッシュ。
ノンチルフィルター、ノンカラーリングのスモールバッチボトリングです。

色は温かみのあるゴールド。
香りは、桃や白ブドウのフルーティなアロマに、バニラ、アーモンドが混ざり合い、ほのかにスモークが漂います。
口に含むと、とろりとしたオイリーな質感があり、オレンジオイルの豊かな風味を感じます。さらにジンジャーやシナモンといったベイキングスパイスがシトラスの爽やかさを引き連れ、程よい甘味と調和します。
フィニッシュかけてオレンジとジンジャーが再び顔を覗かせ、灰とともにおだやかなピートスモークが広がります。

アモンティリャードの繊細な香りと、オロロソの豊かなボディとナッティな風味を併せ持つと言われるシェリ
ー「パロ・コルタド」。その個性がスモーキーなラグと調和したスモールバッチです。

ラグ蒸溜所は、アラン島北部に「ロックランザ蒸溜所（旧名アラン蒸溜所）」を所有するIsle of Arran Distillers社が、2019年に同島南部に設立した蒸溜所です。
ハイランド産のピートを焚き込んだヘビーピーテッドの大麦麦芽（フェノール値50ppm）と2器（1対）の蒸溜器を使用し、豊潤で複雑、アーシーな（土っぽい）味わいのモダンで個性溢れるピーテッドタイプのシングルモルトづくりを目指しています。

This whisky uses heavily peated barley malt (phenol level 50 ppm) smoked with Highland peat. It is first matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, then finished for six months in Palo Cortado sherry casks. Bottled in small batches, non-chill filtered, and with no added coloring.

The color is a warm gold.

On the nose, fruity aromas of peach and white grapes intertwine with vanilla and almonds, gently wrapped in a hint of smoke.

On the palate, it has a rich, oily texture with abundant notes of orange oil. Baking spices such as ginger and cinnamon bring a lively citrus freshness that harmonizes beautifully with a moderate sweetness.

Toward the finish, orange and ginger return, accompanied by soft peat smoke and a touch of ash.

Palo Cortado sherry—said to combine the delicate aroma of Amontillado with the rich, nutty body of Oloroso—adds its distinctive character to this smoky Lagg small batch expression.

The Lagg Distillery was established in 2019 on the southern part of the Isle of Arran by Isle of Arran Distillers, the same company that owns the Lochranza Distillery (formerly known as Arran Distillery) in the island’s north.

Using heavily peated Highland barley malt (50 ppm) and a pair of stills, Lagg aims to craft a modern, characterful peated single malt that is rich, complex, and earthy in flavor.
