キャンベルタウンの5つのモルトを使用した贅沢なブレンデッドモルト

キャンベルタウンで現在稼働している3か所の蒸溜所でつくられる5種のモルトウイスキーを使用したブレンデッドモルトです。使用されているのはスプリングバンク蒸溜所のスプリングバンク、ヘーゼルバーン、ロングロウ、グレンガイル蒸溜所のキルケランのアンピーテッドタイプ、そしてグレンスコシア蒸溜所のモルトです(構成比率は非公開)。原酒のカスクタイプはバーボン樽とシェリー樽で、スプリングバンク蒸溜所でブレンディングされています。アルコール度数は46度で、一般的なブレンデッドモルトの度数より高く、飲み応えがあります。

香りはジンジャーブレッド、ピーカンパイのアロマと共にバターや潮風を感じます。味わいはクリーミーなコーヒー、塩キャラメル、デーツのシロップ、ブラウンシュガーの粒を噛んだ時の甘い味わいが広がり、ほのかなピートスモークと混ざり合います。フィニッシュにかけて再びピートスモークが姿を現し、革のニュアンスが加わります。キャンベルタウンモルト特有の塩気とモルトの甘味が楽しめるブレンデッドモルトです。

A Luxurious Blended Malt Using Five Campbeltown Malts

This blended malt whisky is crafted using five different malt whiskies produced at the three currently operating distilleries in Campbeltown. It includes Springbank, Hazelburn, and Longrow from Springbank Distillery; an unpeated type of Kilkerran from Glengyle Distillery; and malt whisky from Glen Scotia Distillery (the exact blend ratio is undisclosed). The casks used for maturation are bourbon and sherry barrels, and the blending is carried out at Springbank Distillery. Bottled at 46% ABV, it offers a stronger, more full-bodied experience than typical blended malts.

On the nose, it delivers aromas of gingerbread and pecan pie, along with buttery notes and a hint of sea breeze. The palate is rich with creamy coffee, salted caramel, date syrup, and the sweet crunch of brown sugar, all harmonized with a subtle peat smoke. Toward the finish, the peat smoke returns, joined by a leathery nuance. This blended malt offers a perfect balance of Campbeltown’s signature saltiness and malt sweetness.

Note: The previous “Campbeltown Loch” was a blended whisky, but it has now been reclassified as a blended malt.
